About Dr. Richins
Dr. Jansen Richins is a highly skilled periodontist with over 14 years of experience, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to his patients. Originally from West Bountiful, Utah, Dr. Richins is excited to return home to serve his community and be closer to family.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Utah, Dr. Richins completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He then pursued specialized training in Periodontics and Implantology through a three-year residency and master’s program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, gaining expertise in dental implants, periodontal therapies, and hard and soft tissue grafting.
Dr. Richins is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Periodontology. He previously served as an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington, was the past president of the Washington State Society of Periodontists, and owned a thriving periodontal and implant practice in Seattle for over 14 years. Dr. Richins also founded the Premier Pacific Northwest Study Club, fostering collaboration and professional development among dental specialists.
Giving back to the community has always been a priority for Dr. Richins. He volunteered at the Seattle Volunteer Dental Clinic and participated in multiple dental service missions in the Dominican Republic. Known for his patient-centered care and dedication to excellence, Dr. Richins is honored to bring his expertise to Cassity Implant and Periodontics.
Outside of work, Dr. Richins enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly, and five children. He also loves playing jazz piano, fishing, skiing, and camping, fully embracing Utah’s outdoor lifestyle.
